Description
One of the highlights of this auction are the two 49B amplifiers being offered. This example has both 264C tubes present, as well as the ERPI model 4A pedestal. Also labeled B-49-C on the fascia. These amplifiers were one of the first audio amplifiers built with good fidelity and are still coveted and used by audiophiles to this very day, despite being almost a century old. This is a well-used item with plenty of wear. Unit has not been disassembled by us in any way; completeness is unknown - refer to photos. A rare chance to acquire one of the truly iconic pieces of audio history. Dimensions: H 11.25" x W 11.75" x D 8" Condition: Wear to fascia, with some scoring marks above the B+ terminal and some damage to the 49B nameplate. Wires frayed. Oxidation typical of a piece of commercial sound equipment from this era.
