Oil on canvas, signed and dated 1900 lower right. A musician in Elizabethan costume reading music and playing the lute before a stained-glass window. In a scrolling foliate and shell decorated gilt frame.
Stretcher: 39 x 31 in. (99.1 x 78.7 cm.), frame: 54 1/2 x 47 in. (138.4 x 119.4 cm.)
