Description

Antique, circa the first half of the 19th century, English hand painted mahogany wooden folding butler's picnic table. Has a rectangular form top painted in pale green with central medallion depicting classicalfigures of a soldier, shepherd, maidens and cupid. Central scene flanked by floral sprays and edged with gold. The black lacquered folding legs decorated with gold tone rivets. Measures approx. 25 7/8" height x 38 1/4" width x 19 1/4" depth. Provenance: Acquired from a Boca Raton, Florida private collection. Appraised by O'Toole-Ewald Art Associates, Inc. stating a value of $5500.
