Item Details

Description

Vintage antique porcelain shaving mug. Powder blue with a cartouche depicting a bald eagle with a shield, American flag, and the state flag of the Kingdom of Sardinia from 1848â€“1861 or possibly of the Kingdom of Italy or the Naval ensign of the Regia Marina. With the name Victor Sanchirico written in gold above the eagle.
Height: 4 in x diameter (without handle): 4 in.

Condition

The mug is in generally good vintage condition. There are no chips, cracks, or losses. Some losses to the gilt decoration. Wear throughout consistent with age and use. Wear to the footrim. Some dirt and dust collected throughout, particularly along the handle.
