(lot of 2) Ibeji, Yoruba people, Nigeria, single twin male twin figure, probably mid-20th century and made for use and much handled indigenously, the carving details depicting a cap, an Islamic triangular amulet, facial scarifications, and penis, with blue trade beads serving as a belt and necklace, 10"h, together with another Ibeji, Yoruba, Nigeria, single twin figure, the female wearing a tall cap and a belt of small black beads, late 19th or early 20th century and showing extensive signs of handling, especially worn down facial features, 11.5"h Provenance: Estate of Raymond G.
