A grouping of 8 match safes, 4 in cast iron - 19th century, 1 in silvered tin - leaf form, a hand painted japanned paper mache - circa 1870, a fretwork match safe with double bird finial (tip of 1 beak appears to be chipped) - original paint - 19th century, and a gilt hand carved wooden spread wing eagle with 2 match holders - 19th century in very good condition - measures 9"H x 5 5/8"W.
