Wow! This is a great Rock Island embossed steel sign that was used on the side of certain larger Rock Island steam locomotive tenders. The most common class that we have found that used this sign is the 4-8-2 Mountain locomotives. The sign has a great three dimensional look to it and measures approximately 62" x 44" The sign shows some minor paint wear at the corners and edges, but is all original. The top corners are slightly bent as well. Due to the size of the sign, this will likely need to ship via freight which we can help arrange or the sign can be picked up at our Lafayette, Indiana warehouse.
