Description
An original antique albumen photographic print of the temple at Abu Simbel, Egypt, (constructed by Ramesses II, ca. 1279 BC), taken by the pioneering photographer, Antonio Beato.
The temples were unknown until their rediscovery in 1813. They were first explored in 1817 by the Egyptologist Giovanni Battista Belzoni.
