Description

George Denholm Armour (1864â€“1949, British), ink drawing of a scene from 19th century British India, signed lower right. Drawn on artist's board, captioned in pencil at bottom. 14.5" x 11". G. D. Armour was well known for his illustrations done for The Graphic, Punch and Country Life, and he was known especially for his illustrations of horses and riders (as seen in this example.)

Condition

Some light foxing, edges with glue stains (likely from previous framing, light soiling, some paper remnants to back, upper right blank portion with very slight evidence of light abrasion probably from an eraser. Good overall, offered here as-is.
