Description
This is a wonderful carved cottonwood sculpture from Native American artist Raymond Chee. Per the appraisal, he is 1/4 Hopi, 1/4 Cheyenne and 1/2 Navajo. The carving is a seated potter called Old and Steady and is dated 8/13/89 and was Chee's first carving he created for sale. Stands approx 9" tall. Included is the appraisal dated 2004 from American Indian & Western Collector Shows, Flagstaff, AZ. NOTE: From the collection of Daniel Cutrone, professor at Cal State Dominguez Hills, specializing in preserving the four corners of Native American Indians.
