Native American, Western United States, Plains Tribes, probably Sioux or Crow, ca. early to mid-20th century CE. A child's doll made from stuffed cotton cloth, buckskin, yarn, and glass beads accentuating her face and clothing. She wears strands of black beads around her feet like boots, and her body is comprised of plaid and white cotton stuffed with wood chips, covered in a hide dress and coat with fringed hems. The beading is completed in petite seed and spherical beads in pink, green, translucent white, and blue; and upon her chest is a beaded ornament that resemble the traditional "hair pipe" breastplates. Size: 13.75" L x 5.5" W (34.9 cm x 14 cm); 13" H (33 cm) on included custom stand

Condition
Fraying and to beading threads and losses to beads on feet, verso of coat and dress, and side panels. Slight odor. Body is intact and threading could easily be repaired.
