"The Son of the Wolf" was Jack London's first book ever published.

Born John Griffith Chaney, Jack London was an American novelist, journalist, and social activist who became one of the first American authors to gain international celebrity status. Considered an innovator of science fiction, London was a passionate advocate of unionization, workers' rights, and socialism. He is most famous for writing "The Call of the Wild" and "White Fang," both set in the Klondike Gold Rush which London joined at the age of 21 in 1897.

"Lost Face" is in fine condition, rest are in good condition with slight wear at edges of covers and pages. "Burning Daylight" is missing flyleaf. "The Son of the Wolf" has light foxing to cover and tear at hinge on title page. "A Daughter of the Snows" has scratches to cover, tear to pastedown, and fold with tear and wrinkling to 4 pages near front. All have stamp of previous owner and inscriptions on pastedown and front free-endpaper.
