A tin toy "Grock the Clown" playing xylophone, DRGM GermanyGermany, 1920s, sheet metal. A very ingenious portrait toy of "Grock the Clown" sitting and playing the xylophone. By pushing and sliding the lever on the back his hands are set in motion and he starts playing. Lithographed sheet metal, marked "DRGM Germany" on the obverse. Length ca. 20 cm, width with feet ca. 13 cm, height from top to bottom ca. 15 cm. In good condition with slight signs of age. Very rare.Grock was a famous Swiss acrobat, clown musician, and composer (1880-1959). Oversized floppy shoes and baggy pants were his trademark.Condition: II
