JAPANESE MEIJI / TAISHO-PERIOD IMARI PORCELAIN ARTICLES, LOT OF TEN, each featuring underglaze blue designs with polychrome decorations, including a pair of matching crescent-shaped divided dishes with ho-o/houou bird motif, two rectangular dishes with notched corners, a diamond-form dish featuring a bear-like animal to one side, a small octagonal platter with floral and butterfly motif, and a 6 1/8" D shallow dish with three ho-o/houou birds. Marks to underside include underglaze blue four character example, a red hand-brushed square example, and one orchid-style example. Second half 19th/early 20th century. 4 3/8" HOA.

Condition
Nine undamaged, except some having minor scattered wear to enamel decorations; dish with three ho-o birds having hairline. Manufacturing flaws including one with imperfection to foot ring, as made.
