Silver gelatin print. This vintage silver gelatin print by famed photography pioneer Arron Siskind (1903-1991) was gifted to his friend and colleague Malcolm Greer (1931-2016). Print is signed, titled, dated & inscribed in black ink in lower margin. Dimensions: 20" x 16" (museum mat), 17 1/2" x 14" (image). Unframed. "Boston 22" is one of Printed '7/74'. Title & date verso. Siskind's iconic abstract expresssionist images that coincided with the same movement in painting & elevated photography as an art form. Siskind's photographs were often exhibited with the paintings of Franz Kline & the other "abstract expressionists".
