Description

Antique c1870s Silk Quilt Top Fragment with Ribbons. This piece appears to have been a border for a quilt top at one point. There are many quilt blocks in the border, as well as a few small blocks. The gold outer border in silk ribbon. It is hand pieced. Someone with time and patience can take this apart to repurpose the blocks and silk. A few fabrics are showing some deterioration, which leads me to believe this is earlier silk than 1890s. If you have any doubt, please ask questions! We will provide extra pictures, or can schedule an in person or video conference preview at your convenience. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $15 is a domestic shipping estimate for first quilt and includes insurance. We will gladly combine multiple lots for your convenience and economy.
