Impressionist depiction of colorful buildings and lush foliage from across a body of water. Birdsey was a self taught artist being the only modernist painter through much of the second half of the 20th century. His works played an important role in changing outside perspectives of Bermuda, which in turn made his work enter the hands of many collectors.
