Description
A Chippendale walnut chest of drawers Southeastern Pennsylvania, circa 1770
(H: 35 1/2 in. W: 38 1/2 in. D: 20 in.)
The rectangular top with molded edge, above a dressing slide flanked by lopers, over four graduated drawers, quarter columns, molded base on ogee feet.

Provenance
Property of a Florida collection.
Condition
with nice appearance overall, the surface refinished but consistently; two-board top, the back-most board possibly a replacement with later pins / plugs evident; a couple old knicks to top edge molding; dressing slide with replaced baize; minor occasional edge wear to some drawer faces; feet apparently replaced, with evidence of later support blocks; brasses are replacements, with evidence of previous screw holes; a couple minor age cracks to side panels
