Original Santini Poncini c. 1960s "Boire Un Petit Coup C'est Agreable" Oil On Canvas Painting - This whimsical painting is crafted by Santini Poncini, one of the most mysterious and elusive painters of 20th century France. Not much is known about his (or perhaps even her) background, but it is suspected that the artist was born in one of the border towns between France and Italy. Most of Poncini's works depict cherub-faced children stylized with doll-like features and makeup. This painting depicts a child in oversized adult clothing holding what appears to be a bottle of Coca-Cola. The title, "Boire Un Petit Coup C'est Agreable" translates as "Drink A Little It's Nice..." This piece is hand-signed by the artist and is professionally gallery-framed, measuring approximately 22 in x 34 in.
