Made by J. & E. Stevens Company. Cromwell, Connecticut - Ca. 1891. Illustrated in Official Guide to Banks. The design for the Cat & Mouse Bank is based on a Victorian mantle clock form. For certainly, the bank's imagery draws from the English nursery rhyme "Hickory, Dickory Dock". In this telling of the story, the cat and mouse play together.
