Description
A well handled and worn carved wooden hair pick or comb with ancestor face on the handle as well as some incised linear designs. The Comb measures 9 x 2.25 inches. Tabwa peoples, DRC/ Congo, Africa. Provenance: Field collected by Lawson Mooney, Ex Director of Catholic Aid Agency Zaire, Prior to 1965; also EX Dr. Kenneth Adelman, Former director USAID Zaire.
