This 1971 UK Record Mirror Award presented to The Rolling Stones for "Best Group -Britain" was personally owned by the group's long-time bassist Bill Wyman.

An amazing piece of vintage Rolling Stones history owned by group member Bill Wyman, the award plaque reads “Best Group-Britain, The Rolling Stones, Record Mirror Pop Poll, 1971". Wyman’s records stated that the Stones received the award on May 22, 1971. Wyman was the Stones bassist from 1962 through 1993, playing on countless classic Stones albums and touring the world for three decades.

This award was purchased at a sale personally arranged by Wyman that featured many of his instruments, awards, and other personally-owned items and mementos from his illustrious career with the Rolling Stones and beyond. Evidence that it came from this sale will be included with this item.
