Thomas Maras (American, XXI). Art glass vase from "Horizon" series, 2008. Signed and dated underfoot. A wonderful example of Thomas Maras' signature "Horizon" series presenting with a tall teardrop form and a mesmerizing abstract interpretation of the horizon in shades of aqua, tangerine, berry red, lemon yellow, and plum. Maras works in the Twin Cities and has been creating hand blown glass for over twenty years. His "Horizon" vases are created by layering color and employing a stippling technique. Size: 8.5" W x 18.5" H (21.6 cm x 47 cm)
Provenance: private Goldstein collection, Denver, Colorado, USA. The Goldstein's have amassed their collection over the past six decades.
