Description
Louis XVI mantel clock in gilt bronze and porcelain from the early-20th century (1900s). Place this antique clock on a mantelpiece or desk; crafted by the Ansonia Clock Company circa 1900s. The graceful timekeeper sits on all fours on an intricate apron decorated with motifs of torches and loot. The bronze clock features a colorful hand-painted medallion plaque on the front depicting a courtship scene in a garden. The central clock face with porcelain and has a front protective glass, which is decorated with semi-precious stones around the edge of the glass, and the mechanism has been revised and cleaned; It is in excellent working order, marking time. The timekeeper is in excellent condition with a rich patinated gold finish. Wind-up key and pendulum included. Measurements: 18.50" high x 9.50" wide x 5" deep.
