These Absolutely Gorgeous Lawn Chairs Are from the 19th Century and are Made from Heavy Cast Iron. They are an Extraordinary Pair of Victorian Benches in a Scrolling Vine Pattern with Angels Tending to What Appear to be Birds. The Iron Casting is of some of the Highest Levels of Artistry and Craftsmanship. The Front and Back Supports are Sublimely Simple with Small Acanthus Design on the Undersides and Beautiful Animal Heads on the Arm Rests and Feet. The Paint has Acquired a Deep Natural and Desirable Patina, with Only Minimal Indications of Rust. The Benches are Sturdy and Very Heavy, and Look Like Garden Thrones with Their Decorative Detail that adds Countless Charm and Interest to your Gardens, Be they Formal or Casual. Although a Very Small Part of the Back Plate is Missing, The Charm Is Not. (please See Photos). These Chairs Will Outlive Us All. They Were Built to be Seen and Placed in a Place of Honor........This is an Acquisiting that Should be High on your List of Wants. Very very Good Antique Condition with Expected Signs of Wear from Outdoor Use, Storage and Age.. One chair has a barely noticeable separation on the back plate and does not detract from the structure or its stability, and aesthetically, it blends in quite well. Small restoration job for the extremely meticulous homeowner would be a sound investment.
