Chinese Imperial Yellow Porcelain Ginger Jar - a large porcelain jar with a bulbous body covered in a mustard yellow glaze. The jar is topped with an intricately carved rosewood lid depicting birds and foliate branches in relief. Six-character Chenghua mark inside a double ring in blue underglaze. 11" h. Condition: Some fine craquelure to glazed body, a few small kiln imperfections to body of jar and one to the underside of foot.
