John Meaders (1916-1999, GA), Grape Pitcher
olive alkaline glaze stoneware, a bottle shaped pitcher with a high arched handle, applied grape clusters and leaves, inscribed on the underside "John Meaders / Cleveland / MLM GA."
11 3/4 in.
John was the oldest son of Arie and Cheever Meaders and grandson of John Milton Meaders, who started the family pottery in 1893.
