These fairing boxes were purchased all over the US and England. They are part of a collection from east coast estate representing over 50 years of collecting . They are porcelain from the late 19th century and were made in Germany for the English market.

Fairing's are small porcelain ornamental trinket boxes and depicting a variety of scenes. They first started appearing in the middle of the nineteenth century and remained popular until the start of the First World War. Fairings are so named because they were given away as prizes at fairs in the Victorian era
