Classical Mahogany and Mahogany Veneer Linen Press,
possibly Emmons and Archbald, Boston, Massachusetts, c. 1820.
The removable flat molded cornice with a veneered and beaded frieze above four hinged paneled doors opening to shelves and hooks, set into a case of two half drawers and two long drawers flanked by recessed panels, the ends paneled and base containing hidden drawer, all on turned feet, retaining original stamped brass hardware, 127cm wide, 50cm deep, 233cm high (50in wide, 20in deep, 92 1/2in high).

Henry Oscar Houghton (1823-1895), to Rosamond Houghton Whitney (1894-1969), to the present descendant.
