Early 1900's figural abstract ceramic sculpture. Two figures standing close together. Condition as is, one leg is broken in the middle. Proceeds from this sale will benefit students at the Ringling College of Art & Design. Evelyn Wilson (American, 1915-2006). Evelyn Wilson was married to the painter Ben Wilson. She started out as a serious sculptor working abstractly in stone and bronze, but later discovered clay and figurative sculpture later in her career. Wilson's figures are depicted in intimate groupings, mostly of women and children, and convey a sense of gentleness and calm. Size: 7 1/4 x 6 x 16 in. #1177
