Exquisite Qing Dynasty Mandarin Imperial Court Robe. A 1983 Certificate of Antiquity is provided from Charlotte Horstmann & Gerald Godfrey Ltd. Eight circular panels, impeccably embroidered with the powerful gilt-thread, five-claw dragons, are a prominent design on an important midnight blue satin silk robe. The bottom third of the robe has an exquisite embroidered design of turbulent seas over elegant diagonal striping. The golden satin silk cuffs further reflect the importance of this regal Mandarin court robe as they depict the Chinese countryside and its people. Overall size: 61 1/2 x 48 1/4 in. #3454
