Pre-Columbian, Mochica 4, from the North Coast Peru, ca. 400-500 CE. Terracotta stirrup vessel depicting a warrior holding a cream-colored war club; his left arm in held up with a captive prisoner of war in miniature sitting on it. Warrior is painted in reddish-brown pigment, his loin cloth in cream with geometric pattern. He displays Royal Ear Spools and a cream-colored Helmet, his face done in realistic Portrait style, eyes piercing the distance. Note: His feet are depicted in relief on bottom. Piece has been TL Tested - a copy of the report will accompany. 9"H x 6"W.
