Item Details

Description

An R & J Beck Compound Microscope. England, circa 1900. A continental style brass microscope engraved on the base, R & J BECK Ltd, LONDON, 24395, with rack & pinion course and micrometer thumbwheel fine focussing. The microscope comes with 3 signed objectives, one eyepiece and a triple rotating nosepiece. The square shaped stage has slide clips, the plano-concave mirror is mounted on an articulated swinging arm, all mounted on a single brass pillar above a "Y" shaped foot, with mahogany case with accessories mounted on the inside of the door, the case with brass handle, hinges, and lock.

Condition

Minor wear and scratches, consistent with age.
