Publisher's blue cloth backed red, blue and yellow check patterned boards, paper spine label, in a custom red cloth slipcase and chemise. 8 x 5 1/4 inches (20.5 x 13.5 cm); 140 pp. Spine toned with ends chipped, crack along cloth at front joint, spine label rubbed and toned with a small chip to corner, covers darkened at edges, extremities worn, front hinge cracked, contents lightly toned in the margins but otherwise clean.
Wallace Stevens' first book, in the first issue boards, of which only around five hundred copies were issued (from a total edition of 1500). Edelstein A I.a.
