After completing her formal education in Mexico, Consuelo moved to Canterbury, England where she studied watercolor and portrait techniques. Two years later she moved to Paris attending the Ecole du Lourve for three years studying Art History. After Consuelo Gamboa moved to Southern California she began began publishing her art (1981) and in 1987 she formed GAMBOA Publishing and her visibility escalated.
