Description
Francis, Sam (American, 1923-1994), Untitled Abstract for Fresh Air School Exhibit, 1972, lithograph in colors, signed and numbered 26/30 in pencil at lower right, 15 x 22 inches, folded once vertically as originally issued, unframed. Also includes the accompanying section with text and small black and white images of Francis' other works in the show. Published by the Museum of Art, Carnegie Institute, Pittsburgh; color lithos printed by Maeght, Paris; introductory text by the museum's director Leon A. Arkus. A single print from the limited edition of only 30 signed sets that Arkus put aside for friends of the museum. Provenance: from the estate of Leon and Jane Arkus.
Condition
