A Chinese Shiwan lobster-claw-form brush washer
Exterior evenly covered in thick mottled red-glaze with white to interior; previous collector sticker to underside.
H: 2 1/8, W: 7 7/8, D: 3 5/8 in.

Provenance: Estate of Yip Hon (1904-1997). Nicknamed Kwai Wong (translated as Ghost King), Yip Hon was a gambling tycoon in South China. He amassed great wealth in the casinos there through his technique of listening dice, eventually opening his own casino.
