A Chinese zitan brush pot
18th century
Raised on three short feet.
H: 4 3/8, Dia: 3 1/4 in.
H: 11.11, Dia: 8.25 cm.
Provenance: Mrs. Jolovitz, Bethesda, Maryland. Mrs. Jolvitz was born in Shanghai in the 1930s. Her parents left Russia in the 1920s and moved to Harbin, China, then Shanghai and Hong Kong. Eventually, they immigrated to United States in 1950s. These items were collected by Mrs. Jolovitz's mother in Shanghai and Hong Kong.

Chipping throughout upper and lower rims. Minor wood splits to underside.
