A unique tintype of two African American staff members. Measuring 3.5" x 2.5", N.p., ca. 1870s. The studio portrait shows two black male members of staff, dressed in suits and aprons, leaning against a woven wooden fence. An intricate studio background is behind them. It is unknown whether this image was taken on behalf of a place of business or for personal use. With chemical staining at the right and lower edge. Minor scratching and imperfections. Very fine overall.
