Extremely Rare Dated 1773 Folk Art Flame Stitched Cover Over Just as Rare 1754 Oxford Bible / The Book of Common Prayer Sacraments of the Church of England - see photos for more text descriptions, with original book plate noting that this was donated to the Library in 1792 by one of his sons or brothers, "This book belongs to the inner Library bequeathed by the Will of Thos. Eyre Esq, deceased. Wm Wakeman & Vincent Eyre Executors, 1792." Internet research shows Thomas Eyre, Esq, was a colonel born 1720 -died 1772. Bible measures appx 9" W x 10 1/2" H x 3 1/2" D. No missing pages noted, one blank page loose from very first part of Bible. Overall good, see photos condition, no torn or missing pages, no writing, or tears. Flame stitched cover has a date of 1773 on spine and other writing that we cannot decipher as well as star emblems and trees.
