Description
Pre-Columbian, Valley of Mexico, Tlatilco culture, ca. 1200 to 800 BCE. A hand-built pottery female figure known as a pretty lady standing atop a pair of thick, delineated legs. The woman presents with a slightly portly abdomen, perky breasts, attenuated arms, and a squat neckline. Her elongated head exhibits incised eyes with impressed pupils, a petite nose above parted lips, and thick eyebrows, all beneath an incised headdress adorned with linear motifs and applied cinnabar pigment. Size: 1.8" W x 4.5" H (4.6 cm x 11.4 cm)

Condition
Minor nicks and abrasions, with softening to some finer details, light fading to cinnabar pigment, and encrustations, otherwise intact and very good. Nice preservation to cinnabar in most areas.
