Description
DESCRIPTION: 18th century Pennsylvania walnut Chippendale corner cupboard. Probably Cumberland Valley. Circa 1770-1790. Two part free standing cupboard rests on re-enforced bracket feet. The bottom section with two paneled doors beneath cock and bead molded edge drawers with brass bale brasses. The top with two segments of finely carved classical pilasters surmounted by a cornice. The arched doors, each with ten lights, open to reveal a shaped shelved interior. MEASUREMENTS: Overall 128-1/4" high; top 64-1/2" wide x 30-1/2" deep; bottom 61-3/4" wide x 29" deep x 35-3/4" high CONDITION: Wear consistent with age including cracks to glass panels; please see photos.
