Pair of French Art Deco Enameled Wrought Iron Fire Screens in the manner of Gilbert Poillerat. Born in 1902, Gilbert Poillerat is one of the most renowned French designer and wrought iron master of the 20th Century. He studied engraving at the Ecole Boulle in Paris. He started then his career at Edgar Brandt's studio as a designer and model-maker. Poillerat was inspired by historical architecture. These screens are very similar to works done by Edgar Brandt, with whom he worked early in his career..

PAYMENT
Invaluable: All invoicing over $5,000 must be paid via wire transfer. Overseas Payments are to be made via Wire transfer. Payments for jewelry, watches, and silver must also be made via wire transfer. Live Auctioneers: All Invoicing over $5,000 will be paid through ACH or Wire Transfer. Items will not be released until payments are cleared. Credit card transactions are subject to a 3.1% fee. We do not accept credit card transactions over the phone.
INVOICING AND HOURS
We are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Invoices will be sent out on Wednesday morning after the auction. Pick-up is available by appointment only from Wednesday to Sunday, between 11am-4pm.
NOTICE TO BIDDERS
The absence of a condition report does not imply that the lot is in perfect condition. Condition information is available upon request, no later than 24 hours prior to the auction. All lots are offered and sold "as is," and COLLECTive Hudson will not provide refunds based on condition. Timepiece movements, lighting, and electrics have not been tested, and art has not been examined out of the frame unless otherwise stated.
