Featured in this lot is this etching titled "Blackfoot Medicine Man," from artist Edward Borein born in 1872 and died in 1945. The etching features a wonderfully and professionally crafted etched construction that features a medicine man riding on a horse with the rest of the tribe in the distance. The side of the plate from which this etching was pulled, was restored by Wes Johnson in the summer of 1980, and several impressions were pulled during that period. On the reverse side of the plate is Edward Borein's etching #13 "Pack Outfit." The condition of this framed etching is good with no obvious signs of damage and shows good overall condition. The measurements of this framed etching is 15 3/4" x 16 1/4" and the visible artwork measures 7 3/8" x 9 1/8". Provenance: This artwork is from the collection of Mr. Karol Vardell.
