8X10 Vintage sepia matte finish photograph of an artist's rendition of Chase Osborn. Signed in blue fountain pen ink by Chase Osborn. Someone has inscribed it to Jim Wiggins other than Chase Osborn. In very good condition.(1860-1949) Chase Salmon Osborn was an American politician, newspaper reporter and publisher, and explorer. He served as the 27th governor of Michigan from 1911 to 1913. The governor spent time at Possum Poke in Georgia, using it as a retreat and a place to write. He died there on April 11, 1949, aged 89.This lot came from the Jim Wiggins collection we purchased in July 2022. Jim Wiggins accumulated the most unique and valuable autograph collection over a period of 70-plus years. He obtained his collection either in person or by writing to persons of fame and notoriety.
