Description
Two 19th Century Coin Silver Cups Including E. & D. Kinsey. (1) E. & D. Kinsey Kentucky coin silver decagon tapered sides cup with handle. Marked, "E. & D. Kinsey." Edward Kinsey operated in Newport, Kentucky and Cincinnati, Ohio. Cup has engraved decoration on panels and is inscribed, "Kate," in oval on front panel. Measures 3 1/4" high at handle and 2 7/8" high at rim. (1) Thibault & Bros. Philadelphia inscribed coin silver footed cup with handle. The mark on base has an eagle hallmark just below the maker's name. The cup is most likely from an early 19th Century marriage and is inscribed, "R. T. C. Strauvbridge, Edward Glennan Grady II." Measures 3 3/4" high at top of handle X 3" dia. Total weight of coin silver is 6.7 Ounces Troy. Provenance: Jan Grady Living Estate Corinth, Mississippi. Condition- Kinsey cup is in very good condition. Thibault's foot is bent and damaged, bowl of cup has two dents an rim has one dent. See photos.
