Charles Henry Schwanfelder (1774 Leeds, Yorkshire - 1837 ibidem) was an English animal, landscape and portrait painter. He was a son of a German decorative painter and started his art by helping his father to paint clock faces and snuff boxes. Later he became renowned for his animalist paintings and was appointed animal painter to the Kings George III and George IV. He exhibited at the London Royal Academy between 1809 and 1814.
