A Japanese Satsuma Bowl by Hakusan
Meiji period (1868-1912), very finely hand painted satsuma bowl with immortal figures to well and a dragon in red and black, Shimazu family crest painted in gilt above the scene, dimpled rim, exterior sides hand painted with two dragons in same style and Shimazu family crests against a finely crackled surface, signed to the underside with Shimazu clan crest and Hakusan in cartouche.
