Note: Hanna Liden is known for her darkly compelling photographs inspired by horror movies and the downtown New York art scene where she first emerged in the mid-2000s for her series featuring masked teenagers inhabiting rural landscapes. She was included in the 2006 Whitney Biennial and has been featured in numerous other important group shows. Liden combines sculpture with photography in a thriving interplay between street and studio, so it is no surprise that her work has evolved into a dynamic sculptural practice as well.
