Featuring the scene of "goddess delivering a son at Huangdu city (Huang du shi song lin er)" from the Mazu fortune telling sticks on the splat, flanked by two landscape paintings. With correspondent fish and bird scenes painted and gilded to the arms. Having two red bats carved in high reliefdecorated to the top of the chair. The cushion seat within a gilt and painted honeycomb frame with stylized dragon panels. Densely painted on the apron and legs with scrolling lotus, Covert Eight Immortals, and other auspicious symbols andfruits. Featuring a fan shaped landscape panel between qilin and fu lion roundels to the back of the splat, with figural and landscape decorations to the reverse of the arms, inscribed on both sides, dated bingshen (1836).
